My teaching philosophy
I start with Griffschrift - the tablature notation written specifically for the Steirische Harmonika. It lets students quickly pick up common notes and chords while also visualizing rhythm and phrasing that is hard to grasp by ear alone, especially knowing when to push and pull the bellows. Once a student is comfortable with the instrument and has solid technique, playing by ear becomes the focus, now with the added benefit of being able to read the instrument's own written music.
For intermediate and advanced players, lessons shift toward ear training, technique, and the stylistic nuances of alpine Volkmusik, developing its ornamentation and phrasing.

Yes. Unfortunately, I do not own any to loan. Either a 3 or 4 row Steirische will work.
